The Oxygene series (named for the album by Jean-Michel Jarre) is a group of paintings that explore the subtle and beautiful relationship between the colors gold and blue. This is one of the artist's signature composite paintings, where a smaller canvas is mounted upon a larger one. The result is a painting within a painting, an image within an image.
