PAINTER, MUSIC LOVER, TRAVELER Don is a Contemporary Abstract Expressionist painter living and working in Los Angeles, CA-by way of Houston, TX. Spending his youth overseas, he saw the great cities of Europe and lived in Libya and Egypt. As a young man his love of music, theatre, cinema and pop culture led directly to a career in the film and television business. As a painter, Don's work unites the two major branches of Abstract Expressionism, combining gestural freedom with reverence for pure color. Enjoy exploring galleries and museums (of all kinds!), listening to music, both recorded and live, and cracking open a bottle of good red wine. Find me whenever I travel to a new city, checking out the local museums, followed by a great restaurant, or in my LA studio. |
