I’ve been engaged with making photographs for over 30 years. Originally from New York City, I moved to the Bay Area in 1993 and currently live in San Francisco’s Mission District with my husband and 11 year old daughter.
I strongly believe that beauty in art should come from unexpected places. I enjoy using the camera for its ability to frame the world, monumentalize the ordinary and highlight small, everyday moments in my photographs. I draw attention to what is around us by making visible what we pass by and ignore, thus transforming the mundane into the sublime.
My days are spent creating art, teaching photography at local universities, independently curating and being a mom.
