Unique Monotype Print
14" x 24" unframed
An Inkjet image is transferred from film to Japanese Surface Gampi Paper. Once dried, additional layer/layers are added by running the print through the press with a plate containing additional imagery and printmaking inks. This is what makes these monotypes considered a hybrid process by using both inkjet printing and traditional printmaking techniques. The Japanese paper is then cropped and chine colle'd (adhered) to a sheet of watercolor paper by running through the press once again using wheat paste or a silicon glue backing.
