By visually breaking objects into pieces I hope that the viewer can perceive a sense of the whole. In these grayscale images, I am appropriating an architects or fabricators original creations to inspect under a new light. My work as an architectural retoucher inspired my interest in the development and composition of structures. With close observation of everyday objects and their construction, I hope to find the rhythms which affect a person's everyday life- and in the end from a unique understanding of the world we live in.
