I was drawn to a quite textural palette with a hint of vibrancy in layered arrays. The play of materials against each other creates a language of a visually abstract atmosphere. Using vintage imagery, like old French prints, and a line-base composition the ground is both controlled and disturbed. The recognized objects become a place to visit, a history reconstructed.
