The Attraction series layers acrylic paint and mixed media. It begins with a repeating fabric, to which I add rigid geometric patterns and unplanned drips, washes and crackle layers. Abstract florals and decorative elements make these abstract paintings celebrations of surface and depth. The floral design in this piece is taken from a 1950s wallpaper pattern.
