This drawing is one of a series that came from looking at the Nazca Lines, massive lines drawn in the Peruvian desert hundreds of years ago. Some fascinating speculations relate the lines to weaving patterns, or as maps of the dark spaces in the sky (where the stars are not), and another suggests they link sacred sites for water worship (makes sense in a desert). I intend my drawing to be used similarly - as sparse maps of unknown origin.
