GOLDEN GATE PARK
Analog Black and White Photography
Edition of 18
16" x 24" unframed
"I often feel isolated and different, an outsider looking in. I explore this city without a plan, often following light, sounds, or just a gut feeling. I observe its people and look for meaning in the mundane, experiencing the city on a visceral level. I am interested in looking for the ambiguous space between what we normally experience day to day, the fleeting moments evading us in an increasingly complicated world.
I have been photographing for this project in San Francisco for the past 3 years, all on black and white film with a variety of analog cameras and formats. I took this photograph with Ilford HP5 35mm film and my Nikon F3 camera."
