CHARCOAL CLEAR BEAUTIFUL

The way I interpret music in paint begins with listening many times to understand the music's feeling, structure and form. I listen for the essences of the music and then try to reflect something meaningful and true about that particular work of music. In the course of exploring the expressive possibilities of paint on the canvas, the music becomes the subject, object, and inspiration. I also have strong influences from the patterns and power of nature and memories of the ocean where I lived as a child.
