Gared's sepia paintings strip away the vibrant colors to reveal the fundamental beauty that is unique to each animal. Limiting his palette to sepia tones has stimulated the desire for him to feature a wide range of diverse textural nuances that exist on land and below the sea. This series captures the traditional and timeless nature of my subject, while serving as a reminder to preserve these delicate creatures by strengthening the centuries long bond between man and nature.
