The animals and plants in this mixed media print are inspired by the original drawings of a 12th-century Andalusian medicinal botanical manuscript. The astronomical diagrams are from various scientific manuscripts and printed in silkscreen. I draw all elements by hand first and then prepare them for printing processes. Animals, plants, and the diagrams are composed in an imaginary celestial environment.
