BORROWED FLOWERS 2
Acrylic and fabric on cradled panel
16" x 16" x 1.5" unframed
Borrowed Flowers 2 is the second of a small series about depression. I often work with very bright and lighthearted floral prints in my paintings. People have a tendency to think that must mean I am a happy person. I’m not, always, and in these paintings I’m borrowing the cheerfulness of the flowers to push back against the darkness that wants to creep in.
The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished, so the piece can be hung without a frame.
