This work is painted in oil and cold wax, so it has a rich texture and lovely matte finish. My intention was to create a lovely and intricate abstracted background, where the viewer could get lost in the details. But I wanted to suggest a landscape and add depth, so I included marks that could be perceived as grasses or branches.
