What started as a study evolved into a fully developed painting. I enjoyed the process of making the objects before me three dimensional, and it was liberating to use thick amounts of paint to create a wall that felt like cinder blocks. I actually learned a lot about painting through this little piece. It's funny how the most innocuous paintings can be so informative.
