In this series, I am addressing the personal yet universal emotions of people through the objects around us, countered with its always changing appearance. Spotlighting intensely on the stillness of the regularly overlooked objects, the paintings invite audiences on a regressive journey beyond the mundane through the coalescence of time and space. Rapidly changing contemporary life brought us the rise of individuality, vast resources of information, and environment surrounded by images. People are forced to move fast constantly and consume the culture instantly. In the wake of this social climate, it has become evident that people have regressed in the position of passive consumerism. Emerging from this context, this series seeks the moment that the audience will actively engage in the process of looking at the images to the point of seeing signs of other things through reflecting their personal small histories.
