This piece is part of a group of a series called Something Tribal and each piece is numbered according to the needlepoint I created before the paintings were conceived. Since this piece has two different needlepoint designs in it, the title has two numbers and letters to identify it. After I finished the series I felt an affinity to some of the extraordinary African artwork i have collected. The sophistication of the abstraction of those tribal pieces certainly influenced the outcome of this work.
