The surface of this painting is the actual surface in which I directly drew with soft pastels. As I worked on this drawing, I transferred it to the works on the 'on love' series. I place this surface face to face to the surface I intend to transfer to and then rub the back of the surface with a spoon. This process is similar to mono-printing creating a mirror image of the drawing into the new surface.
