Whenever I watch a movie, I always have my sketchbook handy to jot down interesting thoughts, observations, story lines, and quotes. Fragmented and taken out of context, these collected words and phrases from the film create an abstracted narrative that, while running parallel to the original source, create an elusive poetry that seeks to inspire viewers to make their own connections based on personal associations.
“Sunset Boulevard” was inspired by the 1950 film noir classic of the same name.
