It always makes me a little sad when I think of things lost to history, even if it’s common everyday objects. The old motel room key fobs are just such an object. There are new generations that have no idea what these were. (Well, maybe thanks to Tiki bar souvenirs (and my own business cards) that is changing!). I have done several images of these keys, blown up ten times the size, to be able to take in every detail, especially the iconic ‘DROP IN ANY MAILBOX *** WE GUARANTEE POSTAGE’ embossment. Absolute collector’s items.
