"Airborne" is part of the my current series "On the Sawdust Trail." The title of the series refers to an old circus term meaning one who follows or is part of the circus. I have always had a fascination with aerialists and contortionists, and in these paintings I capture the nostalgia and wonder of these amazing performers. Not only have they achieved amazing physical levels, but they capture the imaginations of all who see them.
