There Is Nothing So Whole As a Broken Heart is inspired by my time at an artist residency in the north of Iceland. Everyday I would walk to an isolated spot where a lake met the ocean and the sands were black. I could not see or hear any people or sense signs of humanity - only the sea, wind and sky. By working with multiples, images that are from the same time but not connected in the objective world, I question and explore my sensory perceptions and my struggle to represent this experience.
