I am often inspired by the landscape. While this image is abstract, nature's influence is present. I wanted to create and intricate and layered painting, but still convey a sense of beauty and calm. The cold wax medium allows me to create interesting texture and layers. This work is also a celebration of color. I hope the viewer can get lost in the painting, and see something new with each look.
