Daily Painting Series
Oil and cold wax on archival paper
13" x 10" x 1.5" framed
Last year, I challenged myself to make a painting a day. I did not know where it would take me or how long it would last. I just wanted to try it.
I learned so much, about painting and myself. The daily practice freed me up, allowing me to be more adventurous and experimental. If I had an idea, I tried it. Often that led to something else I was curious about, so I tried that the next day. Because of the time constraint, I did not overwork the paintings, which kept them energetic and joyful.
Each painting is made on archival paper specially treated for oil paint. They are matted with acid free mats and framed with non-glare art glass and maple frames.
