This work comes from a specific evening when I was surfing during the sunset and until past dark; I internalized the evolving and deepening layers of color and reflection and began a series about this and other oceanic experience. There are several more large paintings forthcoming, as well as many watercolor and oil studies in progress on Arches Oil Paper.
