Tethered metaphorically explores the innocence and vulnerability associated with childhood. The bound animals depict our desire to hold on to our past and innocence. In this piece the goat's resistance becomes it's own trap, if it simply walked the other direction it would be set free. It's the idea that we often cause our own situations of entrapment.
