Rachel began making art in 2009, and was initially fascinated by the human body, and by the feeling of transference of emotion she experienced when drawing people. This capacity for art to communicate in an immediate body to body sense deeply fascinates her. Her current work crosses the barrier between space and sound, and she can hear them, in a synesthetic sense. The works come from experiencing architecture or nature. She reads widely, and you can often find her looking for books at Green Apple or Alley Cat.
