JOSIE

​Working primarily with sumi ink on paper in an evocative stream-of-consciousness style, Josie Koznarek uses forests and natural imagery to evoke groundedness in the earth and in one’s self. Having received no formal training, Josie represents herself as she brings illustrative flair to the galleries and creative endeavors she is involved in. Some notable projects from the past year include exhibiting at the Chicago division of The Other Art Fair, and creating dynamic live art pieces for The Storefront Project, performed at the PROP Thtr and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
