ARTLYOWL HOLIDAY STUDIO DINNER
DECEMBER 4TH
6:00 - 10:00 PM
PEGGY GYULAI'S STUDIO (1890 BRYANT, SAN FRANCISCO)
We kicked off the holiday season with an intimate, multi-course meal in the penthouse studio of ArtlyOwl artist, Peggy Gyulai.
Our event offered a unique opportunity to enter the world of the artist and enjoy a small-group dinner inside their studio.
We started the evening with a seasonal cocktail reception on Peggy’s outdoor terrace, enjoying spectacular views of the city and exploring her large-scale abstract pieces inside her studio.
Highlights included savoring a multi-course, farm-to-table style meal prepared by Chef Lamont Perriman of Hudson Daniel and inspired by the artwork of Peggy and ArtlyOwl artist Jeremy Sutton, enjoying our meal along with Peggy and Jeremy, learning more about their process for creating work, and hearing about the connection between their artwork and each dish.

Peggy Gyulai creates her paintings while listening to music, and draws inspiration for the overall composition within the work from the rhythm, feeling, and sound of the music. She says, “I listen carefully to the music I work with to understand what I can of its essence, to feel its particular beauty, character and architecture- and to try to put that into paint on canvas.”
Gyulai has collaborated with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Music Institute of Chicago, and the San Francisco Chamber Symphony and has been shown in more than 70 collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her work has been featured by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Style Magazine, City Paper and WRTI’s Tempo Magazine and on WRTI broadcasts. |
