PRECISION, PHYSICALITY, PATIENCE I believe in the inherent beauty of everyday things. I developed this view from a rigorous design education in creative material usage and a childhood watching my refugee father creating makeshift things. I collect natural and artificial materials from the places I’ve lived (New York City, London, Switzerland, San Francisco). I create assemblages with these collections to explore concepts of consumption, waste, and perceptions of value. I enjoy speaking French and belting out French pop songs; find executing a squat, benchpress, or deadlift with good technique to be very satisfying; and can't help mentally rearranging furniture in other people's homes. In my spare time, find me staying home, indulging in cake and ice cream while watching sci-fi fantasy tv shows, or in my San Francisco studio. |
